Hello and thank you for stopping by. Let’s get right into it. What is sideloading? It’s a way of adding apps to your devices that are not in your device’s App Store. This is a very popular thing to do worldwide.
For Apple devices, this would be called Jailbreaking. You have to Jailbreak the Apple device from Apple’s ecosystem to be able to add apps from another place.
Jailbreaking is a few things to different people depending on how deep you are into the tech world. Now, to someone like me, Jailbreaking is what you do only to Apple devices. But someone got it in their mind to start calling sideloading, jailbreaking when it came to devices outside of Apple.
The steps you go through just to break out of the Apple ecosystem, jailbreaking is the perfect name. In my opinion, you can’t jailbreak other software system devices. For something like a Firestick you just go into settings and turn on one button. No work is needed, so to me, that is what’s called an open-source device.
Android devices are the very first open-source device in the market. They are not tied to an ecosystem, instead, they have a very big open App Store. Due to the system build being so amazing, people started creating their own special apps that they could sideload onto an Android device. Ha, you like what I did right there?
By doing this, sideloading apps, have become this phenomenon worldwide. Everyone is doing this, customizing their devices to their wants and needs. Fire devices are ok when it comes to this but if you ask me they don’t last. So they end up being a BIG waste of money. I remember every few years I had to buy the newest one because the speed just slowed down so much. Making it very difficult to stream or even use it.
If you are looking to have one amazing device you can take your pick between the Sony Bravia TV, Nvidia Shield Tv Pro, BuzzTV XRA 4900, Apple TV 4k 64GB 2021, and if you must have a Fire device the new Fire Cube 4K. I also forgot the great MeCool KM6. You can sideload, jailbreak, and fully load these things to the moon and back.
Apple Devices = Jailbreaking, Android & Fire Devices = Sideloading. Once you are done adding in and customizing to your liking this term is called Fully Loaded.
See at this point these three phrases mean the same thing when wanting to gain access to free Movie and Tv Series apps. Now for free, I will tell you the why and what. Is sideloading risky? That is a loaded question. I believe it can be if you don’t know what you are doing. My problem with sideloading is everyone does it differently and it can be a hit or miss. My team and I have spent hundreds of hours and years learning how to load each software system. And more time picking the right apps that work on each device. It’s just so much information that it can overwhelm a person that is new.
